CASE STUDY
Wildscreen is the largest wildlife film festival in the world, and in 2023, it made history by being held outside of the UK for the first time. The festival took place in Nairobi, Kenya, where the short film Karibu Nairobi was screened as a testament to the quality of filmmaking that can be achieved in African countries like Kenya, especially with a national park in its capital city.

Apart from the editor, the entire film was shot and produced by Kenyan filmmakers in just 10 days. As a result, industry professionals in the west have focused more of their attention on producing wildlife films with local talent in countries like Kenya.
